Cheese Scones

Hey! This is another one of my favourite quick and easy recipes, its for cheese scones and will take you only half an hour but you wouldn't guess it is so quick by the taste, so here we are:

You Will Need:
 175g of Self Raising Flour
A Pinch of Salt
1/2 a Teaspoon of Baking Powder
 25g of Butter
60g of Cheddar Cheese
100ml of Milk

Mix the flour, salt and baking powder and then chop up the butter and add it into the bowl. Then rub the butter into the mixture until it looks like fine breadcrumbs.

Grate the 60g of cheddar cheese and put a third of it to the side.

Add the milk and the two thirds of grated cheese to the mixture and mix with a knife.

Flour the work surface and then join the mixture into a ball and place onto the work surface.

Roll the dough out, using a rolling pin, until it is about 1cm thick.

Using cookie cutters, cut the dough out and place onto a greased baking tray.

Brush the scones with milk and then sprinkle the third of cheese that you put to one side onto the scones, before they are cooked.

Cook the scones in the oven at 220c for roughly 8 minutes.

Once you have taken the scones out of the oven place them onto a cooling rack to cool down and then you are finished and you can enjoy your freshly made cheese scones!
